Culture Day April 25th

As part of Rawson-Saunders year-long Village program, we will be celebrating Culture Day April 25. On Culture Day, classes share with the school community information on the culture they have been studying. This year, the culture displays are varied: they range from our youngest students studies of Austin and central Texas, to our middle school students displaying world cultures.

While this is primarily a time for classes and grades to share their work and visit other classrooms, parents are welcome to come see the displays. Activities will begin after lunch and finish up shortly before dismissal.

Art Show at Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic Opened April 17th

Come witness an extraordinary art exhibition which explores the thoughts and feelings of coping with dyslexia by our fifth grade and middle school students. Their works appear at the art gallery located at the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, 1314 West 45th Street, Austin, 78756.

The exhibition runs through June 10. The gallery is open 9:00 AM - 8 PM Monday through Thursday, Fridays 9:00 AM - 5 PM and Saturdays, 9:00 AM - 1 PM. The artwork will be available for sale.

2 New Professional Development Opportunities: The Three Key Routine and Making Math Real

We are pleased to offer professional development training this summer in two programs that extend structured, sequential, and multisensory instruction into all subject areas.

The Three Key Routine is a comprehension and study strategies program for grades 4 through 12, and Making Math Real supports math instruction in grades pre-K through 12. More information on these workshops can be found on the Professional Development Training Center section of our website.
