Money-Making Opportunity for Rawson-Saunders - Can You Help?

Help us earn a quick $500! We need 20 volunteers to help with Packet Distribution for the Nike Human Race this weekend, August 29th and 30th. Details:

• Packet Distribution will be at Hancock Center 24 Hour Fitness. Hancock Center is at 41st and IH35, 24 Hour Fitness is on the Red River side of the complex.
• Friday, August 29th shifts are 9a-2p, 1:30-6p, and 5:30-9p
• Saturday, August 30th shifts are 11:30a-4p, 4-7p
• Full shifts only, please

Professional Development Training Center News

This year, the Professional Development Training Center will continue to offer courses and workshops to support educators, professionals, and parents. Highlights include:

• Basic Language Skills - Introductory Course - Fall 2008
  Usually only offered in the summer, this course is required for the certification process to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist.
• Dyslexia Simulation - October 16, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
  This hands-on presentation is open to all. Come experience the challenges that people with dyslexia face every day.
• Guest Speaker Dr. Isabel Beck, March 6th, 2009
  We are pleased to bring Dr. Beck to Austin to present a workshop on Vocabulary and Comprehension.
