The mission of Rawson-Saunders School is to develop the full potential of children with dyslexia through an extraordinary educational experience. Founded in 1997, Rawson-Saunders School is dedicated to excellence in education through which bright learners with dyslexia can develop to their fullest intellectual, emotional and social potential. To prepare our students for higher education and the complex, changing world beyond, we teach the way students learn best and balance a challenging curriculum with multi-sensory instruction in small classroom environments. The only full-curriculum school in Central Texas specifically for students with dyslexia and related language-based learning disorders, Rawson-Saunders is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Texas Association of Non-Public Schools, the International Dyslexia Association, and the Austin Private School Association. Rawson-Saunders School embraces the beautiful diversity of our world, and our students, faculty, and families reflect different socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. Rawson-Saunders is strongly committed to an inclusive environment which honors the uniqueness of each individual's background, values, and point of view. |
